Jennsy live with her mother. Her mother is regulary employed as a day laborer. Jennsy helps her mother by running errands.
Jenny's favorite activity is art and drawing. Jennsy is not old enough yet to take part in acitivites designed for preschool and elementary-age chidlren. At this age, having someone to love and take care of her can mean the difference between life and death. That's why your sponsorship provides for a trianed Survival Specialist from her local church to visit her every month at home.
These Specialists provode access to much-neede immunizations and medical care, as well as good and water to meet critical physical needs. They also lend emotional and spiritual support to family members commiteed to caring for her. Your sponsorship allows Jennsy a strong, healthy start, early in life when it can have the biggest impact.
Her Christian acitivites include Bible classes. Her favorite activity at the Compassion project is learning about God.

ABOUT THE COMMUNITY
Your sponsored child lives on the plains of Barrio San Miguel, home to approximately 1,100 residents. Typical houses are constructed of dirt floors, brick walls and wood roofs. The spoken language is Spanish.
The regional diet consists of maize, beans, eggs and rice. Common health problems in this area include respiratory infections, vector-borne diseases, dengue and chicunguya. Most adults in Barrio San Miguel work as day laborers, makert traders, street vendors, subsistence farmers or in domestic services and earn the equivalent of $135 per month.
Your sponsorship allows the staff of Pentecostal Child Developmenet Center to provide your sponsored child with Bible studies, Sunday school, health screenings, indoor and outdoor games, vaccinations, team building activites, health and hygiene education, talent development, educational field trips, mentoring programs, tutoring, life skills training, career guidance and vocational training.
